«ΟΙΚΟΝΟΜΙΑ, ΠΑΡΑΓΩΓΙΚΕΣ ΣΧΕΣΕΙΣ ΚΑΙ ΙΣΤΟΡΙΚΗ ΕΞΕΛΙΞΗ ΣΤΑ ΝΤΑΡΝΑΚΟΧΩΡΙΑ»

Τα Νταρνακοχώρια ανήκουν στην κατηγορία εκείνη των χωριών της περιοχής των Σερρών που γνώρισαν ιδιαίτερη ανάπτυξη στις αρχές του 20ού αι. Στην ανάπτυξη αυτή έπαιξαν βασικό ρόλο οι διεθνείς οικονομικές συγκυρίες σε συνδυασμό με το καλλιεργούμενο προϊόν στην περιοχή, τα ανατολικά καπνά.

Η παρούσα μελέτη παρουσιάζει τον τρόπο με τον οποίο εξειδικεύονται σε μια κοινότητα από τα Νταρνακοχώρια (Εμμανουήλ Παπάς) οι παραπάνω αναφερόμενοι παράγοντες. Ειδικότερα θα εξεταστεί ο ρόλος που έπαιξε η καπνοπαραγωγή στην εξέλιξη της κοινότητας, λαμβάνοντας υπόψη τις παραγωγικές σχέσεις, όπως αυτές διαμορφώθηκαν στο πλαίσιο, από τη μια μεριά, του υπάρχοντος συμβολικού κεφαλαίου της παραδοσιακής κοινότητας και, από την άλλη μεριά, των επιταγών της αγοράς που άρχισαν να εισβάλλουν στην κοινότητα με την άνθηση της καπνοπαραγωγής στο χωριό.

«Economy, Productive Relations and Historical Development in Darnakochoria»

Darnakochoria is a group of villages in the prefecture of Serres that have been developed very much during the beginning of the 20th century. Oriental tobaccos which were the main cultivated product of the region in combination with the international economic conditions played important role in the development of Darnakochoria.

In my presentation I focus on the way these two factors are represented in a community (Emmanouil Papas) of Darnakochoria. In particular I will examine the role of the tobacco cultivation in the development of the village taking in consideration the productive relations among the population of the village as they formed on the one hand in the context of the tradition of the community and on the other hand in the context of the market rules that started to invade in the village.
